Next stop: Melrose Place!

My unshakable love for OUAI bloomed during my time as a Beauty Advisor at Sephora.

OUAI’s iconic presence and addictive fragrance came frequently requested, yet broadly mispronounced (which did call for some laughs).

If you’re having trouble reading the title, it is pronounced “way,” as in “let me show you the way (OUAI) to heaven,” which is precisely where their classic scent Melrose Place carries me off to every single time. OUAI describes Melrose Place as “a swoon-worthy blend of bergamot, lychee, white musk, champagne, and more.” It’s a heaven-sent, or should I say heaven-scent, experience.

Dominating the market by delivering luxury, salon-grade hair care, OUAI is beloved by the big names, such as the Kardashians, Chrissy Teigen, and Jessica Alba. The Detox Shampoo, Thick Hair Treatment Masque, award-winning Leave-in Conditioner, and their candle currently grace my vanity, countertops, and travel bag. But what about their skincare?

As far as my skin… she’s thirsty! And as a sensitive-skinned girly, I am continuously on the lookout for non-abrasive body scrubs that won’t leave me feeling parched after use. Finding the ideal balance between effective exfoliation and moisture replenishment is a must. So when I saw that OUAI offered a Scalp and Body Scrub featuring a skin-loving duo of sugar crystals and coconut oil in their Melrose Place scent, I immediately clicked Add to Cart!

Upon unboxing and placing it on my counter, the packaging instantly elevated the room with a sophisticated touch.

But the real test is performance.

For my coarse, thick, 2B hair, it did a great job of removing buildup from my scalp, and my hair and scalp felt super soft. Although, I am more inclined to continue using the detox shampoo and adding the Scalp Serum to address my scalp and hair concerns. I want to save each luxurious ounce of this scrub to love on my skin!

This scrub shines for revealing radiant skin after gently buffing in small circles while damp, leaving me feeling clean yet nourished–ultra soft and smooth to the touch, and I didn’t feel parched when leaving the shower as usual. For the first use, I skipped the post-shower body cream rubdown (for research purposes) and found that my skin stayed soft and still smelled oh-so-sweet the next day! I generally use it about once a week or a week and a half, as to not overdo exfoliation treatments!

I am impressed, along with the glowing 500+ 4 and 5 star reviewers on Sephora.com.

My search for a gentle yet effective body scrub stops at Melrose Place!

What should I try next? Summer is coming, and I have my sights on the new Hair Gloss
